Playlists are Missing

I just transferred my iTunes library from an old computer to a new laptop. I followed the instructions under the Support page here with Apple. The transfer seemed to go well, and I imported several more CDs on the laptop. I just plugged in my iPhone to sync (authorized this computer tonight to transfer my purchases from the iPhone) and not I can't get any of the playlists I spend hours building/creating last week to show up. I can't name a new playlist... I'm really frustrated. Any suggestions?
