need to export Yosemite's Keynote presentation to Maverick's Keynote via flash

On my macbook pro, I run Yosemite and made a slide presentation on Keynote. I exported it via flash drive and tried to open it on my friend's computer at her school. Her macbook pro is running Maverick and has an older version of Keynote than mine. It would not open the presentation. How can I do this successfully? Will exporting it as a Keynote '09 do it? Thanks.
