iTunes 12.2 Removes Local Device Sync for Music

Not really question, but more like a warning.

Once I upgraded to iTunes 12.2, I was no longer able to sync the music I wanted to my iPad. Everything had to be done through the iCloud Music Library.

**** iCloud has to meddle in everything! This just raises too much uncertainty for me. The whole "you removed you device from iCloud so now we're going to delete everything on your device" thing - I hate that.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Correction: this happens once you update to iOS 8.4. iTunes 12.1 will say that the iPad uses iCloud Music Library for syncing.

When I turned off iCloud Music Library in my iPad, this iCloud Music Library syncing goes bye-bye and the previous method was returned. Well, that's it then. So much for Apple Music... I've only been waiting for it since Beats was purchased. Now I have to let it go.
