iPhone 6 Speaker problems

I just got a brand new iPhone 6 today and tried face timing two separate individuals and calling another. On both FaceTime incidents, neither person could hear me but I could hear them loud and clear. Same thing happened during the phone call. How can I fix this? Am I forgetting to turn something on or is it a problem in the phone?
