hello, i have a 85W Magsafe power adapter model A1290. I have a early 2009 17" macbook pro... My question is if i would need a replacement for the magsafe, can i order it from apple or do they no longer make these adapters? I know that they have Magsafe 2 adapters but, i believe thats not for my MBP... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Apple still sells these:
They are expensive.
OWC also:
They are very dependable and slightly cheaper.
The OWC ones original Magsafe adapters or not?

I didn't think they were OEM but now they say:
"Apple Genuine Units"
So I guess so. OWC is very trustworthy so if that's what they say that's what they are. Call them if you're are still suspicious.

Yes they are genuine Apple chargers, I have one from them.
