So... when is Singapore getting Beats 1 launched as well?

Apple Music Launched in SIngapore on June 30th 2015 as well without Beats 1 Radio station.

When are we getting it launched and why do we not have it in the first place?

My guess would be because the Media Development Authority (MDA) has not approved this radio station to air in Singapore yet. 😟

Singapore has long since been receiving products from Apple at the same time as the United States, so there is no reason why Apple is not providing us this service. Even Malaysia has it. This has probably gotta do with MDA. Beats 1 is basically a full-fledged radio station; it's not only streaming music, it also has live radio hosts too. Right now all of the free-to-air radio stations are owned by MediaCorp, which is owned by the state. And we all know how tightly Singapore guards media and the press. Right now, there is only one radio foreign radio station that is being aired in Singapore, and that is the BBC World Service. It may take quite a while before MDA approves Beats 1 to air in Singapore.

But this is only my theory (I don't have any evidence to prove it).

According to MDA - it wasn't them but Apple's decision.

"Thank you for your enquiry. We would like to clarify that it is for Apple to decide whether to offer content such as Beats 1 Radio on Apple Music in Singapore. If you have further queries, you may wish to consider contacting Apple directly for clarifications."

Multiple queries to Apple - but with no answers. What Apple suggested is this:

" I can’t comment on if an when Beats1 will be expanded to other countries, but please know that your comments and suggestions are an integral part of this continuing effort to provide quality content. One thing I would like to suggest is that you share your thoughts on this issue on our feedback page. I have included the link below. I want you to know that your thoughts are heard, and Apple takes all feedback given to us by our customers seriously. We realize that there is no one better suited than the people who purchase and use our products and services to give useful feedback about them. http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html "

So I guess if we really want Beats 1 - we need to let Apple know that!
