Jul 9, 2015 10:59 AM in response to ThomTho1979by jay_and,This is ridiculous. I'm FORCED to wait 90 days to change my App Store country because of a free trial that I CANCELLED. What a joke!

Jul 9, 2015 11:48 AM in response to ThomTho1979by anypats,Just realize that this may not have been completely Apple's decision. This may partially have come from the contracts drawn up by the record labels. Some artists won't allow certain albums to be sold (and probably streamed) in different countries. There are many subscription services out there that allow you to cancel but still give you full benefits to the service until your current subscription or trial ends. Amazon Prime and Spotify are two that I have used in the past that I "canceled" but they still saw me as a customer or user of that service until the full period was up.
Depending on why this was put in place, it could be a long time (if ever) that it gets changed. Hopefully more warnings will be put in place when people sign up.

Jul 9, 2015 6:31 PM in response to ThomTho1979by matthewpeterwood,Hi everyone. I was equally frustrated by this. But it seems that there is now a workaround. If you call Apple support they will be able to cancel the subscription. You lose out on the free trial, once you've downloaded the content you need from the other store and switched back, but that was a small price to pay in order to access the pro apps that I rely on.

Jul 10, 2015 4:07 AM in response to matthewpeterwoodby Stack22,Hey man, thanks for sharing your experience.. You are apparently the first one to resolve this problem successfully. That's great that they have started cancelling the trial for people who want it. Finally... Again, thanks for the tip..

Jul 10, 2015 6:06 AM in response to matthewpeterwoodby Laphong,Thanks. Once we cancel our membership and change countries, will we lose the music that we've already downloaded?
-
Jul 10, 2015 6:26 AM in response to ThomTho1979by matthewpeterwood,I'm not sure about that, Laphong, as I had only been streaming content. With the DRM files I imagine they will either not work or disappear when the trial is cancelled, but will be accessible once you sign up again. With iTunes Match the DRM-free matched files are yours to keep, but as I understand it, this is not the case for Apple Music. Re-subscribing today though, I noticed that all my music preferences had been retained, which was handy.

Jul 10, 2015 6:30 AM in response to Laphongby anypats,If you fully cancel the service where you call Apple and they completely remove you from Apple Music, any songs downloaded that you have not purchased will be removed from your device. Any songs that you have purchased and/or loaded from CDs of course continues to be yours to keep.

Jul 10, 2015 9:33 AM in response to timotiiby Stack22,Once again I am proud of Apple, problem took only 10 days to fix... I have an ongoing problem with the vodafone website in my country, it has been a year and not solved yet.. Just to compare I had to wait 20 min on the phone, they must be overwhelmed, but they fixed my problem ASAP, no questions asked.. Of course, doing that we loose the trial, keep that in mind.. Cheers and good luck people

Jul 12, 2015 11:01 PM in response to ThomTho1979by Shaardu, you can try this-
open this his link on your mobile or iPad and it will ask to change store and you can click confirm and then boom your store is changed. Try it and let me know.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tidal/id913943275?mt=8
if above link is not working, just search any app that is available only on US. In my case, I was searching for Tidal app. Search on Google, click the first link that takes you to app store. Then it should work.

Jul 14, 2015 7:06 AM in response to Shaarduby Hazz012,HEy Shaardu:
THis what happened to me. I have pressed the link, the app store has switched to the US store, but I can't download apps from this store even if they were purchased. I can only show the US apps. When I tap GET, I receive this message "your account is not valid for use in the US store, you must switch to the UAE store before purchasing". I have deleted my UAE credit card, nothing has changed.
