Q: Can't change Country/Region after cancel Apple Music membership !

Hey, so anyone in the uk trying to change it from us to UK I think I have solved a problem, I just signed out and signed back in again and it worked and if changed it back to the UK Apple Store for me. Hope it helps x

This is seriously stupid. Apple have decided "why would you want to cancel your membership to such an awesome product". Well, some of us don't want it and won't renew. This is a major annoyance.

Stop making wild assumptions about your products Apple. I use Spotify.

Same issue, but with a twist I don't want to change coutnires, but because my credit card is now associated with a new Korean address, I can't buy anything on the app store until I change my billing info, which I can't do until I change my country, which I can't do until the apple music subscription expires.

I have the same problem too... this is outrageous !! free membership music is not that important for some people..... APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!

This is beyond ridiculous. You would expect this sort of ill conceived idiocy from the Microsoft of old never from Apple. But in recent times looks like the tide is turning. Apple churning out superfluous bloatware gimmick after another while Microsoft shows the innovation and grasp of meaningful features.

I've already skipped the iPhone 6s Plus recently in favour of a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - first non-iPhone I've bought since the iPhone 4 and I upgrade every year. Now I'm looking at a new tablet and laptop and I don't see those being Apple products this time either.

this is getting on my nerves. I accidentally click on the apple music trial and now, I am unable to cancel the subscription to change country.

Same problem! My Apple music subscription has expired, and it still won't let me change country! Very frustrating...

Same issue here. Unbelievable.

I was able to resolve this issue through a chat with Apple Support.  Here is the transcript:

• Ich: I just moved to Switzerland and I need to download local apps. I searched for the apps and learned that I need to change countries in order to download. Then I go to change countries and I learn that I need to cancel my Apple Music membership in order to do this. The problem is that there is no way to do that.
• Josefine: I understand that you would like to change your iTunes Store Country, but you would first need to cancel Apple Music, do I see this correctly?
• Ich: Yes, that's correct. I'm currently in the middle of the Apple Music 3-month trial. I cancelled the "auto-renew" feature, but cannot cancel Apple Music outright
• Josefine: I can imagine, that it is important for you to change your country as soon as possible and I will do my best to help you.
• Josefine: I will have a look into your account. This might takes 2-3 minutes and then I will be right back.
• Josefine: I checked the possibilities and was able to cancel the membership for you, so you can now change your country, after you signed out and back in with your account.

I've tried thundainparadise's suggetions from the transcript but no joy. Anyone else?
