I tried yesterday. An "iTunes Store Senior Advisor" says he is "taking ownership" of my case and will get back to me soon.

    HEY EVERYONE,

THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO DOWNLOAD ANY APPS, IF YOU DON'T WANT CANCEL YOUR APPLE MUSIC MEMBERSHIP.

BUT IT WORKS IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER APPLE DEVICE CONNECTED TO YOUR APPLE ID.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY IPHONE. BUT I'M DOWNLOADING APPS VIA MY MAC AND THEN TRANSFORM THEM TO MY IPHONE (VIA ITUNES)

HOPE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU GUYS.

P.S. ON MAC - THERE IS MY HOME COUNTRY. THEN I CHANGED MY IPONE, AND I CONNECTED MY APPLE ID, BUT THERE WAS US COUNTRY AUTOMATICALLY, AND I COUND'T CHANGE IT BECAUSE "APPLE MUSIC MEMBERSHIP".

The way this has been even thought by programmer is dumb.....

Why is there more than one app market in the first place ?

I hate this, I can't update the Post-App and I need to go to the post office on purpose just to pay a stupid bill because of this.

I hope they have a really good reason for wasting our time this way. We should bring them in a court, just to waist our time discussing about this.

I have just left my feedback which is similar to what you guys are all saying this is ridiculous! I am a huge apple fan... but it seems to me that apple add more and more 'features' that just complicated a system that used to work fine and now its way too messy!

Actually, it can be solved if you ask Apple Support for help. I just tell them that I need to end my Apple Music Membership immediately to change my country, then the membership was canceled. Sure, before that I was told that I won't get any trial of Apple Music again.

I have exactly the same issue `i need apps in the US store as I'm here now but I'm regitered in the african store.......

Solution is to create another apple id sign in to disired apple store download apps you need and change back to original store....

it shouldnt need to be this much effort apple needs to take care of this asap!!!

I found that as long as the Apple ID/sign in details were the same for each store you've been associated with in the past, you can just go ahead with 'buying' the app again, but before charging you the store realises that you already own it from another country store and give it to you for free. This is an awesome result, but one that Apple should really promote. Even better would be if the 'Buy' button automatically changed to 'Get' or something, regardless of what store you happen to be currently signed in to. But yeah, attempt purchase and it should be fine. Always works for me. No need for subscription cancellations or store changes.

Wow - for apple music, this is a genuine deal breaker for me. I liked the service but I need to be able to switch countries. I am cancelling my service and will sign up to either Google Play or Spotify once it expires.

I find it strange that my hand is forced like this, by Apple themselves.

Well, so much for apple listening. This thread is from July 2015, and now here I am with the exact same problem in October 2016. Apple get so many things right, but then they go and do this to the client. Steve would be rolling in his grave (God bless him).

This is a completely ridiculous problem.  I'm visiting New York and want to download the Citi Bank Bikes App.  I've cancelled mu Apple Music and Apple Matching (neither of which I ever used), and now have to wait nearly SIX MONTHS until I can use this essential app.  Good gracious, I am astonished.  There was no warning at the start of the subscription that such an eventuality would arise.  Fantastic hardware, dodgy software!
