Payment Method was declined

I was downloading songs from the iTunes store just fine yesterday and today it asked me to fix my payment info. I tried a million times and it didn't work. I made a new account and put in the same card and it worked???? I want to keep buying apps and songs on my old account. Anyone have any ideas?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 8.4
