JDK fails to install on Mac OS 10.10 (aka Yosemite)

Hi,

I just now tried to install the Java JDK 8u45 on my Mac with Yosemite (10.10) installed, and the install failed without any details as to why.

Nothing in system.log as well.

My current Java version is 1.8.0_25

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
