ipod shaffle is not working when it was connect to computer its ok but not play

Ipod shaffule 2 nd generation 2 GB ,Blue color.

Sir My ipod is connect to the charging orange light is blinks. I was charged 5 hr. But its not turn on won't play.But when i connect to my laptop its battery shows green color. Give me some idea to what am i do?
