Q: I cannot send email through Mail anymore

After the update to 10.10.4, my Mail could not connect to outgoing mail server anymore. Any solutions?

    I have the same question.

    I use several email accounts, at iCloud and at Google. After the upgrade, mail.app cannot connect to the Google ones anymore.

    iCloud still works fine.

    Some, not all, of the Google accounts have 2-step verification enabled. They are linked through the old style gmail setup with application specific passwords.

     

    The Google accounts all report in the connection doctor that the username/password combo is wrong. This is obviously not the case, as they worked fine just before the upgrade and i can also log on to them just fine through the web. I can also access the accounts just fine through mail.app on OSX.
