Jul 1, 2015 6:23 AM in response to wdibby hooktrunk,If you have a US Apple ID, try signing up for a VPN account (very private network). $80 a year. I use Strong VPN from Japan to watch US TV shows that the major networks post online after they air on TV in the US. It might work in this case to show that you are in the US. If you have a US Apple ID, I believe you need a US credit card with a US address. If you don't have a family member who will let you use their address for your mailing address, you can buy a US address online for about $150 a year. It sounds sketchy, but it's legal as far as I know. My bank knows I live in another country, but I have my mail delivered to a trusted family member. More info than you asked, but I hope this works. BTW, I reread your question. I live in Japan and have a Japan Apple ID that is registered to my Japanese credit card, but I only use that account for Japanese apps that aren't on the US app store and it will switch to the store right store to update the apps when I need to. I mainly use my US account from Japan and haven't had any problems(knock on wood) and I hope Apple isn't reading this. iTunes radio even worked from Japan even though the user agreement says it shouldn't work. I think they want to make money. Try using your US account primarily from the UAE and see if this works. Unfortunately, if you switch, you won't be able to switch back(iTunes match, etc) for 90 days. When you update apps between stores, that doesn't count as switching accounts. Good luck. I hope this makes sense.
