iTunes 12.2 - Apple Music songs added via iOS "grayed out"

Apple Music songs added via iOS "grayed out" in iTunes 12.2. I've added several songs from Apple Music to "My Music" via iOS, but on my Mac (iTunes 12.2) the songs are unplayable and not able to be downloaded by clicking the cloud icon.

My hope was that, after updating to iTunes 12.2, my Apple Music songs would be playable on my Mac just as they are on my iOS devices. What am I missing?

I'm having this same problem now, but the iCloud library option isn't checked. The first solution, to re-add my music, isn't feasible either, as I'm missing about 25,000 songs, about a tenth of which were purchased from iTunes. These are all backed up on external drives as well as housed on my HDD, but I can't play them.

Any ideas?

Songs added to Apple Music "My Music" will not display in iTunes if added prior to iTunes 12.2 being installed. They will show as grayed out. The solution is to re-add them from iTunes 12.2 when playing the song.

There is a much easier way!!! Just go into preferences and uncheck iCloud library and select ok. After selecting ok, go back into iCloud library and check it and log back into it. As the saying goes, "Have you turned it off and back on again?" works to fix this issue.
