Q: Not able to install 10.10.4 through the app store it just freezes then won't reload (Macbook Pro Late 2011)

Hi,

I'm not able to update to 10.10.4 through the app store. I just get the spinning beach ball and then if i try to quit the app store it won't reload! I've tried to install manually by downloading the .pkg but it freezes and says preparing to update.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

it's very frustrating! I've tried updating through terminal using help from this thread App Store stuck at "checking for updates" however when I did this I got this error "Error downloading OS X Update: “OS X Update” could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading. Click Update to download and check the update again."

It's a problem on the server side. Just try later on again.

I don't think that it is a server error. The program doesn't respond and the mac gets hot, even when I force quit the app store it still won't load back up and everything is greyed out!

Having the same problems on a MacBook Air 11" (Mid 2011). My other machine, a MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013) updated without any problems.

Both were on latest OSX 10.10.3 before today's upgrade attempts.
