I have updated my Macbook Pro to Yosemite 10.10.4 yesterday and then the built in camera cannot be found in all softwares like photobooth, skype, ... and even cannot be found as a hardware in system info.
please let me know how to fix this problem.

none of them worked.
I have reset the SMC, and reinstalled the OS but still have the same problem.

did you found a solution? I have exact the same problem though it's only on my macbook pro retina and not on the old macbook. Even hardware test didn't find any issues.
not yet. I also chatted with Apple support and they could not solve this problem. the only thing remained to do is installing a fresh version of Mac that I am going to do it.

I found the problem eventually but I could not still solve it. the built in camera is disabled and I could not enable it using all methods or scripts provided in other websites.

I have also replaced the QuickTimeUSBVDCDigitizer.component with the same file from another MacBook Pro with working camera but did not work again 😟
I hope apple release a solution for that soon. or please help me if you know how to solve this problem.
i still haven't solved this. I compared to a macbook that works but no luck. All looks the same but my macbook pro camera still is deactivated.
Apple does not accept their fault and we have to pay to fix the camera issue. so disappointing!!!
