5th generation dual band router

I have a Ring doorbell that I would like to add to my WiFi. When I try to connect to my WIFI it says they cannot connect (can't find WiFi). I have both 5 Ghz and 2 Ghz. According to doorbell paperwork I need to connect to the 2 Ghz. Is there a password that I have to set up for each band? Not having any other problems with my WIFI, works with my other devices.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Is there a password that I have to set up for each band?

No, each band uses the exact same password.

A number of wireless devices require that the name and password for the network be short and simple. Check to make sure that......

The name of your wireless network does not use any special characters like an apostrophe, asterisk, dollar sign, etc

The name of your wireless network is short......20 characters or less

The name of your wireless network uses only normal letters and numbers

The name of your wireless network contains no blank spaces

For example, if the name of your wireless network is something like.....

A number of devices will not be able to connect. Change the name to something like.....

Finally, you may also need to use the option to assign a separate name to the 5 GHz band, and then be sure to point the doorbell at the 2.4 GHz network name.

your final comment suggested I have a name for both bands

No, it didn't.

I said that you may also need to use the option to assign a separate name to the 5 GHz band.

You would only do this if you have completed the other steps and the doorbell still won't connect. If that is the case, we need to know what device you are using to administer your AirPort router. If it is a Mac, we need to know the operating system that it is using.

If you are not sure on that. click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac and post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

Not sure why you marked your last response as the solution your original question. That will likely confuse other users.
