PPhone saying no service after putting sim card into different phone

aafter recently breaking my phone, I bought an I phone 5s from a friend. My network is orange EE and my friends phone network was also EE. upon putting my sim into the phone I get service for approximately 5 minutes. It then says no service and can no longer use the phone. Any thoughts would be great???
