Choose "Songs" not "Artists", "Albums", etc.

Pick a song and start playing.

Hit the title of the song near the bottom.

In the new screen, hit the Shuffle button.

In responce to MikeD, I feel ya' brother; I was a little irritated a few months ago when I found out I couldn't get rid of the apple watch app on my phone. Now I'm down right ****** That I can't shuffle songs from different albums of the same artist. I think that was a bad, bad marketing move. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE BRING BACK THE SHUFFLE OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure everybody liked it when iTunes had that carousel "cover flow" way to view albums... NOW GONE.

I'm pretty sure everybody liked being able to double-click on a playlist and have it open a new iTunes window... NOW GONE.

I'm pretty sure everybody liked being able to shuffle songs easily, and being able to do so EASILY within artists, songs, composers, etc... NOW GONE.

Can anyone tell me why they keep doing stuff like this? Do they need to sacrifice certain functionality in order to add certain functionality? Is there anything we can do to bring these features back?

tap (touch) the image of the artist that is to the left of the artist's name while you're on the Artist Pane of My Music in the music player. This will start playback of the first track you have from that artist on your device. Then, to have that artist's music shuffled, go to the Now Playing screen and select the shuffle icon to begin shuffling the rest of their music..."http://forums.imore.com/apple-music/333427-shuffle-all-songs-within-artist.html"

it works and yes it is a pain in the ***,

I have a related but different question. I like to shuffle my songs and listen to them randomly on my iPhone-i shuffle them by song not album. Sometimes I might hear a song from shuffle but instead of going to the next shuffled song I might want to go to that album. In the previous version of itunes you just hit that icon up in the right hand corner and it flipped over showing all songs from the album that the randomly song came from.

How do you do that now? I see no way to do that.

I have a similar issue. I have standard and smart playlists that I manage - and I typically will open one of these up and hit the Shuffle button at the top of the list of songs within the playlist. When I do this with the latest version of iTunes on my iPhone or iPad - it will Randomly pick a song in my playlist - but will then proceed to play the rest of the playlist in order.

If I hit the Shuffle icon at the bottom of the now playing title - the icon highlights for a second - and then it unhighlights - and proceeds to play all of my titles in order.

I am beginning to be to believe that there is a connection with the very poor current iTunes operating system we now are suffering with and Apple, promoting (APPLE MUSIC). I am extremely annoyed with this and the Apple watch app you can"t get rid of. if these products are that good. they could stand on their own and not have to be crammed down our throats as well as being compromising as they are. I wish the developers would develop somthing more practical like products that more durable and water proof and please, please stop taking iTunes hostage.
