how do I backup messages from iphone 4s to ipad air

i have iphone 4s just upgraded IOS and an ipad air with just upgraded IOS. Want to get all iphone messages over to ipad air. Is this possible?

Make sure you have signed in to Messages on both devices.

i can message to the ipad from the iphone but how do I copy ALL of my iphone messages, in a group copy (not individually) to the ipad?
