How do i cancel the free trial/membership?

how do i cancel the free three-month subscribtion/membership? I accidentally started the trial, and want to cancel it?!?!

I can definitely help you with this issue.


In your Music app on your iPhone, tap on 'My Music' in the bottom right corner. Then, tap on the person icon in the top left corner. Tap 'View Apple ID' and sign in with your Apple ID password. Under 'Subscriptions,' tap 'Manage' (it's in blue). Cancelling is then as easy as flipping off the "Automatic Renewal"option, which will stop Apple Music access as soon as the current month or trial period is over.


If, at any later time, you wish to re-subscribe to Apple Music after your free three-month trial has ended, you can go to the 'Manage' page, but then tap on the price of the plan you want under 'Renewal Options.' This will opt you back in to the service.

Why? Because the free trial stops you from manually managing your music. Cancelling the service does not remove it. We (people who don't want the free trial) have to wait for months unable to sync most of our music to our devices. I now only have 2 albums on my phone (albums I purchased through itunes), and that's literally all I can put on my phone until October short of restoring my phone and rolling back my iTunes version.


On a side note, some people have had success cancelling the trial by calling support. Seems like it depends on who you end up talking to.

Just sign out Apple Music.

If you want to Sync with itunes. Then go itunes>preferences>uncheck iCloud Music Library. Click on your device in itunes> music. Now you you will have the option to sync in good old way.
