iTunes 12.2.2 & iOS 8.4 not syncing playlists

I upgraded to iTunes 12.2.2 on my Macbook Pro (running version 10.10.4) and iOS 8.4 on my iPhone 6 and am unable to get my playlists from my computer to sync to my phone. I've logged in and out of iTunes on both, and am unsure how to remedy the issue. All of my music is currently accessible via my phone, but it just shows that there are no playlists.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), null

Never mind - the issue seems to have resolved itself. How, I'm not exactly sure but I ended up re-syncing several times and then finally, things returned to normal.
