Uploading photos to iPhoto

Lately, when I connect my camera to iMac, my pictures are uploaded into Photo instead of iPhoto. How can I change this, and why does it happen?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Because Photos launches and you tell it to import to there. Quit it and launch iPhoto instead.
