itunes 12.2 won't open

Hi,

I currently installed itunes ver. 12.2 on my macbook pro:

13 inch, Early 2011

2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

OSX Yosemite 10.10.3

When I click the itunes shorcut on my dock or play any song on the folder the application is unresponsive and will not open.

I restarted the computer and it still is unresponsive.

Please advise,

Thanks

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

It happened to me as well. I couldn't even "force quit" from the drop down dock menu, from the task manager ((option/command/escape), or from Activity Monitor.

So I rebooted, removed iTunes from the Dock, and went to iTunes on Apple's site and downloaded 12.2 again, and installed it. It all works now.

"It just works" is not always accurate ...
