how do I locate a stolen phone with no icloud ?

i bought a new iphone 6+ on Saturday and on Sunday my $s got stolen. I thought that when you charged the phone it backed up on icloud. . But I was told no by Apple So if anyone has any suggestions on how to locate my stolen phone Please let me know. as the phone don't matter just my pics , they where of my grandson since he was born and he is now 4.. a lot of memories..

This is confusing... are you trying to locate the phone, or recover data from a backup? If you enabled iCloud, it will back up when it's charging, provided that it's also connected to Wi-Fi. You can locate it if you enabled iCloud's Find my iPhone feature. See if it shows up on http://icloud.com/find. There's also a box to check that says "Notify me when found," which I recommend.
