How do I authorizing my new computer on iTunes?

I went into My Accounts to authorize my new computer. It said I had 2 computer authorized but did not list them. I de-authorized the previous computers, or at least that is what I THOUGHT I was doing, and now it says there are 0 and I can't figure out how to put my NEW computer in iTunes to have it authorized.. I would appreciate help in the proper steps to authorize my computer in iTunes.

Thank you for responding. If I can ever get to the actual iTune MENU I now understand how to authorize my computer. The first problem is I keep downloading iTunes and it is a vicious circle of 1) Download 2) TELLING me about iTunes and 3) wanting me to download again. I never get to the iTunes menu. I have dozens of purchased songs I can't get to. Thank you again for your response and I believe I can fit it IF I ever get into iTunes.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version, or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues, or for compatibility with QuickTime or third party software on 64-bit systems.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I hear what you are saying about it having a different menu, but I still don't know how to get to my songs I purchased - old or new way. If I read your response corretly - there is no longer a need to authorize my computer? Then why did it say I needed to do so before I could see my purchases? This is why I have android phone and tablet. There way of doing things is more logical to me. I am about to give up 😟 I appreciate your help and maybe it will make sense to me by the time I go to bed. Have a great week!
