Q: When I try to update an app it says cannot connect to itunes store?

I am try to get the new Clash of Clans update. I have a good internet connection.  When I go into app store and click on Update, it takes me to home screen then pops up a bubble saying "Cannot Connect to Itunes Store" then doesn't let me update.  I then went into the Itunes store and it was working perfectly.  I have and Ipod 3 running ios 5.1.1 and have never encountered this before.  I have tried the date and time trick, logging out and logging back in, and restarting.  Please help and thank you in advance.

iPod touch, iOS 5.1.1

    Same problem here. I have 2 iPod Touch. Both side by side in front of me trying to update Clash of Clans. The 5th gen updates normaly, no problem. The 3rd gen gets "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I can search on Google just fine so the internet connection is ok. I tried to restart the iPod, change clock time forward, iOS is up to date, tried turning on and off the parental control etc. It wont update.
