How can file size of pages 5.5.3 ois Yosemite be reduced?
Can the size of a Pages 5.5.3 file can be reduced? It happens to be 10 fold the size of the same dox file.

File ▸ Reduce File Size, or if using 300 dpi images, reduce the image size and replace in the Pages document before the previous reduction.
Thanks VikingOSX for your reply
actually I tried and got the notification:
This document's file size can't be reduced
All media files are at their optimal size!
Any other thoughts? Thanks again

What are those media files?
If they are images and are cropped, Take them in something like Preview, Pixelmator or Photoshop and actually crop off the unwanted parts, size to their final size in the document and save as screen resolution (72dpi) or whatever you want as well as more compressed jpeg.
When you have done that reimport them back into the Pages document.
Pages 5 is however a terribly inefficient format and will always be overly bloated even after you do all above.
Pages '09 is more efficient.

Hi Peter, thanks for your interest an help:
There are no images just a document with a table on it. Copy Paste from a word dox. Automatically multiplies the file size from 20 KB dox. to 192KB pages (5.5.3)!? What is pages '09 , a newer or an older version?
Any idea?
Older but much, much better.
Peter
Thank you.
