Apple Music missing tracks in My Music

When I'm adding an album to My Music not all the tracks appear.

For example when I add Up the Bracket by The Libertines they arrow pops up to show that the album has been added to My Music, but when I go to My Music only 7/12 tracks have been added. On my iPhone there is a Show Complete Album button below these 7 track which I can click and then add the missing tracks individually. However in iTunes on my iMac I still only see the 7/12 tracks, even when I go to the album page and add the missing tracks individually.

Anybody else experiencing this and have you found a solution?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), Core i7, 16gb RAM, 2TB HDD

Same problem here. You can play the music just fine by clicking "Show Complete Album," but that's only if you sort your music by album and don't download it. Stream only. If, like me, you sort by artist, it renders that method unusable. Plus, clicking "Add" or "Add All Songs" does nothing.

It's really bad for your favorite artist when you have multiple tracks of the same name, but some are remastered or live. I have pretty much Sinatra's entire catalog of music. For whatever reason, this "Ultimate" Album says I can only have 4 tracks; tracks that I have multiple versions of as well. I guess iTunes and Apple Music are smarter than me since it's basically saying, "We know you already have some version of this song in your library. Why don't you just hunt that down instead."

I really wish I could separate my Apple Music from my iTunes now.

I have the exact same problem. It is really annoying. They need to fix these problems soon or I won´t stay with apple music. Too many serious bugs.😠

I cannot add these missing files because I have already another album from Seether with same song names. It is not a problem within iOS, They should test their software way more intensive.

It looks like the "not adding duplicate songs from multiple albums" issue has been fixed. I had a case open and after finally escalating to a high enough level support they said they were able to reproduce the problem. Then, this morning I got an email from support saying they were now not able to reproduce the problem (but they didn't say they fixed it).

I was frustrated so i decided to make a screen video showing the problem happening and as many times as I tried with different artists and albums I couldn't get it to happen. Every time I was able to add a "greatest hits" album and then add the actual album the songs came from and on each of them all the songs were added to my library, even the duplicates.

So, from what I can see the not adding songs on multiple albums issue has been resolved.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, it's a bit frustrating. I even went to the point where I blew out my entire iTunes library, most of it was random BS anyway. I dumped it all into a folder started fresh. Added things like The Beatles and obscure stuff back in that I know I wanted. Then started adding from Apple Music full albums. So many are showing up with a track or more missing and it's annoying.

I've been experimenting. I'm sure iTunes is the cause of most of my issues.

Adding albums to My Music via iTunes seems to frequently miss tracks, or set tracks as unplayable. Even though these tracks are playable and visibile when you preview the album on Apple Music before adding to My Music.

Adding albums to My Music via the app on iOS seems to be far more successful. It will at least display correctly on iOS, however viewing that same album in My Music on iTunes will be borked frequently. I can live with that for now as I use my iPad/iPhone more.

To fix the issues with missing tracks that I've had so far, I've removed the album from My Music (on iOS) and let that replicate through all devices and to iTunes. It's pretty instant. I've also made sure to remove from downloads on iOS before removing from My Music. Once it is gone, I search for the album on Apple Music via iOS, making sure to show the complete album if some tracks are hidden, then add to My Music. Seems to add the full album. Again, if it was borked before on iTunes it probably still will be, but at least its fine on my devices.

This won't help with the bad matches when trying to add missing albums from your collection, like a Live album, where I often end up with a poor match to a studio album. But it does at least solve the missing tracks for albums that are on Apple Music already.

I agree, there seems to be a pattern where I have another copy of the track in a different album. I can't be certain it's the same version, but it shouldn't matter. You need to be able to add the whole album -- it's a bug or a poor design decision. One thing I have always appreciated in nearly all of Apple's music efforts has been the respect for Albums as an important musical grouping. I hope this gets fixed soon.

From what I can see this is only happening for albums where I already had an album with the duplicate songs in my "owned" library (prior to Apple Music).

For example, I already owned Aerosmith's Pandora's Box which has all the songs on Toy's In The Attic except for three of them . When I add the album Toy's In The Attic with the "+" button on Apple Music, I only get the three song's not on Pandora's Box.

However, I didn't have any Black Sabbath albums in my library prior to Apple Music. If I "+" their Greatest Hits 1970-1978 album I get all the songs. If I then "+" Paranoid, I get all the songs as well even though there are both albums.

I'm having the same problem. I added Bob Dylan's "Biograph" box set to My Music. Many of the songs do not show up. This is likely due to the fact that I already have other versions of these songs in my collection.

I also added "Skull & Roses" by the Grateful Dead, and that is a real mess. Only 4 of 11 songs show up. There is an option in iTunes to "Show Complete Album" (this option does not appear under the Dylan album). Then, there is an option to "add" the missing songs, but when I click it, nothing happens.

Given my previous experience with iTunes Match, I'm not surprised that people are having these types of problems.

I really hope they fix this stuff, because otherwise the service is pretty great.
