I can't transfer Apple Music to iPod Nano

So basically iPod Nano will probably be get a new generation that has a wifi adapter into it. A simple update is all that is required to force the ipod to sync to your mac on a monthly basis (at least once a month) otherwise the songs can be disabled. We shall wait and see their response in the next event.

seriously, Zune forced you to verify your subscription every month on the device. it was an excellent service.

Which is why the Zune is the biggest selling device out there and the service is thriving, right?

haha. Yeah I know. they were way too late to the game. iPod already had the market locked up. It was a cool device, though.

Way too many issues with it, like having to sync once per month and a poor user interface. Not to mention poor reliability. Used to be fun to read some of the bad reviews of it.

The impression I get is that is you can stream on or download to your iPod Touch, but you cannot transfer downloads between devices.

My question is along the same lines, since I'm frustrated that the downloaded apple music files can't be transferred to an iPod shuffle.

When you are running or walking in an area that doesn't have wifi, does Apple assume everyone is listening on their iPhones? I love the iPod Shuffle because I don't like running with an iPhone because it is bigger and uses up data and battery life. I am worried that the Shuffle is now useless in apple music.

On the surface, this seems like a big oversight on Apple's part. Anything that I'm missing here?

Songs you purchase from the iTunes Store can still be synced to your iPod Shuffle (or Nano, or Classic) just like before, songs that you are using that you got from your subscription to Apple Music cannot be synced to those devices.

I understand this, but was hoping to transition fully to Apple Music and away from the iTunes store. I don't think I can make that transition if you can't listen to "offline" apple music files on any device other than an iPhone, iPad, or computer (i.e. a Shuffle since its ideal for running). From my understanding, Spotify gives you the ability to listen to the temporary files on iPods.

The Watch does not have WiFi and it can store Apple Music playlists? One I think. So, why not the Nano.

Spotify does support the iPod Touch and so does Apple Music.

After further research, it looks like a new Shuffle will be released soon by Apple. It would make sense that this upgrade would support Apple's new music product. Hopefully that solves the problem.
