messaging is getting frozen, any fixes?
My messaging is extremely delayed and seems to get frozen. Any tips? I've already re-booted and ensured no other apps are open.

I understand that the Messages app on your iPhone is not working as you would expect. When you say delayed and frozen, do you mean incoming messages or while you are typing an outgoing message?
To begin troubleshooting, I would first suggest quitting the Messages app completely.
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
After the app has been closed, restart your iPhone again.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Test messages again after the restart and please let me know if the issue continues.
