I am using external Hard drive for store all the video files include Library with this.
I am using iMac 27-inch 2013 and upgrade memory card to 32Gb.
and when I edit video. it so lagging. I mean. I can't even play smooth back and forward. it always stop 3 ~ 5 sec to jump clip by clip.
and it takes hours to rendering 30 mins video with some effect.
does anyone have solution for get rip off this laggs?

What version of FCP X and OS X?
Your media drive should plenty fast.
How much free space on the media drive?
You could start by deleting preferences: if you have a recent version, this can be done by holding down command and option keys while starting FCP X and confirming in the dialog that appears.
One other thing to try: create a brand new user account and try running on this account. If it works ok, you'll know that the problem lies in your normal account and not in the system or the application itself.
You mean you tried on both OSes and have the same problem on both?
Run BlackMagic Disk Speed Test on your drive. It should give a fast enough speed - somewhere above 100MB/sec. If not, there may a problem with the drive.

one is main hard drive where OS installed. and other is external harddrive.
seems hard driver has no problem. I will try deleting preferences and running other account. wish me luck...

lag is almost gone. well still have some left but way better than before.
