I need to deliver my opening credits to the post house. I exported as 4444 and they told me they need them redelivered as a TIFF with an alpha for them to comp. Can anyone explain what this means and how I get them what they need? I've exported a TIFF, but that was just one still frame. Thanks!

That is an odd request. This is pretty much obsolete as a video codec. ProRes 4444 would be the natural choice, as you did.
You can use MPEG Streamclip or (perhaps) Compressor to create a movie with TIFF compression from your 4444 export. I don't think FCP X can do that directly.
TIFF is an image format. Do they want an image sequence?
Guessing they want a graphics file so they can animate it themselves.
Not really an odd request for a post house at all since they're doing your compositing and they know how their systems work and what works for the output product you've specified or requested.
