iMac suddenly shuts down - no warning

Have a new iMac (maybe 3 weeks old). It's been running wonderfully until today. It has randomly shut down 3 times today. No warning, no performance issues leading up to it. Screen just suddenly goes blank and everything shuts down as if someone pulled the power cord. At this point hitting the power button does not work. I have to unplug from power outlet for 2-3 minutes and plug it back it before the power button will work and computer will come back up.

I have ran the diagnostics check and that returned no problems/errors. Not sure what next step is except for taking it to the Apple Store, but not sure how effective that will be since it's intermittent and no real warning before it happens. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
