As of now, 'Liking' music on Music is only used to help Music build better recommendations for you as an individual user. You will need to add any songs you like and want to keep to a playlist for later.

As of the moment, there is no way to view the songs you've "heart-ed" that you haven't added to 'My Music.' I understand how frustrating and confusing this can be. Hopefully Apple fixes this in a future software update... there really should be a way to view the tracks you've "heart-ed" right on your device!

Unfortunately, the best we can do now is to submit our feedback to apple at apple.com/feedback. Hope this helps! Enjoy Apple Music.

I think I may have found some of the songs that I hearted - if you go to your Itunes wishlist, in the right hand corner of the screen it has a list of songs that I hadn't put in my wishlist but I'm sure that I hearted a lot of them. This is definitely something Spotify does better than Apple at the moment but I'm sure they will sort it out.

Hope this helps!

This is obviously a roundabout way of doing things, but what I've found to be a useful workaround for this current frustration is to go to the album or song and press the "export" button (the square/rectangle with the arrow pointing up) and choose the Notes app. It will create a direct link and tags (including album cover) to that album or song and you can save it as a note. What I like to do is just make a folder in the Notes app and collect all my "albums for later listening" notes in there. Again, not perfect but not too inconvenient either.

Seriously!? I am currently a google music subscriber. I'm currently considering switching to apple music for improved music discovery (through licensing and taste). Google produces an entire playlist of my "thumbs-uped" songs, which is actually my go-to playlist for work and pleasure. I am displeased with Google Play because they do not license such obvious artists as Led Zeppelin or the Beatles, but the lack of such simple functionality will likely tip me against apple music. As a fifftenn-year-long Apple devotee, I was optimistic, but I'm happy to stick with google if they're the only one that can accommodate such a simple cloud based platform

In iTunes 12, you can make a Smart Playlist to play all "Loved" songs.

File > New > Smart Playlist...

With "Match (Music) for the following rules:" checked, select Loved from the dropdown so that the selections read "Loved" "is true."

Since in older versions of iTunes you could only assign stars, I modified the selection criteria to include Loved and 4 or 5 stars. To do this:

Right click the name of the playlist you just created (may be named Playlist unless you renamed it) and choose Edit Smart Playlist.

Change the drop downs by the Match checkbox to read "Match music for ANY of the following rules".

Click the Plus + to the far right of Loved/Is True.

Change the new selectors to read "Rating" "Is greater than" and 3 stars (or 4). Click OK.
