Added songs not appearing in my library

I have been following the steps to add music to my library and playlist but they are not showing up when I check in my music. Any suggestions? i have an IPhone 6 and yes it's up to date and yes my library is enabled.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

press "Artists" underneath your recently added in "my music", then a list pops up and at the very bottom it says "show music available offline", switch that off. This should work!
