Jul 16, 2015 2:52 AM in response to ahwmanby ChristophG,I'm experiencing the exact same issue with my iPad Air 2 (WiFi) on iOS 8.4. I just upgraded and the wake up lag is noticeable. It feels like the CPU suddenly falls into a deeper Krait-C state. Moreover, if I reduce motion and use the gestures to close an app, the home screen will need 3 seconds to load. With normal motion enabled it's no issue at all. I wish I could go back to iOS 8.3...

Jul 16, 2015 5:09 AM in response to ChristophGby briboynyc,it doesn't matter if the ipad air 2 is charging, not charging...it's always slow. Fingerprint to unlock is slow. Hitting the home button to wake is at least 3-5 seconds. Just horrible this is happening and it appears everyone on this thread is an ipad air 2

Jul 20, 2015 8:12 PM in response to SergZakby AppleQer,I sent feedback to Apple about my iPad Air 2 being slow to wake up after iOS8.4x here. https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
The form asked me about the OS version on my iMac, not just the iOS version on my iPad Air 2.
This made me wonder whether the fact that I upgraded my iPad iOS via iTunes on a Mac running Lion caused the problem.
Just to rule it out: have any of you downloaded the iPad iOS 8.4 update via iTunes on a Mac running Yosemite, and does the problem still occur?

Jul 21, 2015 2:55 AM in response to mszilardby AppleQer,OK thanks for confirming that.
I guess we will just have to sit and wait for the developers to fix this. It would be nice if they could hurry up, given that we forked out for the latest high-end iPad model!

Jul 23, 2015 7:03 AM in response to ahwmanby Grahamollie,WWell, much frustration later, couple of calls with Apple support, one backup and restore later - no change.
THe lag/delay is still there.
AS others, I am noticing that when the pad is charging there is no issue - likewise waking up from a short sleep there's no delay.
ANd and to cap it off - my iphone 6 has started dragging its feet opening apps....
**** these updates!!
ANd and the double caps....
However I am reliably informed this problem has been identified and will be fixed at the next update......

Aug 2, 2015 11:02 PM in response to ahwmanby go2sleep327,Seriously, it's been a month already and still no patch to fix this. This is ridiculous. I'm using my iPhone 5S more often than my iPad Air 2 because it's faster! That makes no sense! For me, Sleep/Wake function is still slow, Rotation function is broken, and many apps overall are just slow. What is going on Apple? You guys are usually on top of your game with this stuff?
