Jul 8, 2015 2:35 PM in response to halfcackby bobseufert,The double caps have nothing to do with IOS 8.4. They are one of the many glitches that have haunted this Forum since it was updated June a year ago. The double caps existed on IOS 7.

Jul 9, 2015 2:37 AM in response to ahwmanby mszilard, interesting fact. on my iPad, if it's plugged into the charger, there is no wake up delay, the screen lights up instantly, every time i press the home/power button, regardless for how long the iPad sleeping.

Jul 9, 2015 5:23 AM in response to Mhageen123by AppleQer,I also have an iPad Air 2 that is slow to wake following the iOS 8.4 update.

I have already filled in the feedback form here, and I suggest others with the same problem do likewise:

Jul 9, 2015 5:26 AM in response to OmniFusionby Dostoyevsky77,Yes, I am having the same issue with 5-finger gesture. When used, it promptly drops to the springboard, but the icons take about a second to load. I can also confirm this behavior is specific to the gesture, and the icons appear instantly when using the home button. This wasn't an issue prior to iOS 8.4. I performed a clean installation as a new iPad (Air 2) via iTunes (not OTA) to solve this, but to no avail.
As you say, weird.

Jul 9, 2015 6:32 AM in response to ahwmanby JayJ1993,Hello again to all. A funny thing happened: After updating a whole bunch of apps today and then syncing my iPad on my PC, I noticed that both the lag and the screen rotation issue have somehow disappeared. I've tried to test this by waiting for the iPad to go to sleep and then waking it after several minutes on three occasions earlier this evening and the response to pushing the home button has been noticeably faster each time. And the screen also now rotates as it's supposed to. Hopefully, everything stays this way from here on but we'll see how things will be in the morning.

Jul 15, 2015 12:34 PM in response to ahwmanby justminer,Same problem here as everyone so adding to the chorus - iPad Air 2 64GB WiFi Only / iOS 8.4 - takes 1 to 1.5 seconds to wake from sleep via home button or lock/power button. Smart Cover magnet case open does seem to wake instantly. Takes about 10 seconds of sleep for delay to occur.
Bug report filed. Hoping for fix in iOS 9.
