Cannot connect to itunes after upgrading IOS and download of latest itunes

Hi,


I am hoping someone can help...I have just recently downloaded the latest version of itunes and done the latest upgrade to phone and now I cannot connect to itunes. Phone keeps asking to connect to itunes but when I try to restore the following message appears:

There is a problem with the iphone that requires to be updated or restored.

My phone was working fine until I connected it to itunes 😟

I would appreciate someones help ASAP so I can get some sleep tonight 🙂
