iBooks Author does not recognise my Photo Library can anyone help as Apple tell me it is an iBooks Author issue and they are on US time and are closed

I updated to iBooks Author 2.3 and OS X to 10.10.4 which gave me the new "Photo" in place of iPhoto. Now I am having trouble with iBooks Author accessing the Photo Library. when I click 'Media' in iBooks Author, I can access my iTunes music library and my Movies library, but not my Photo library. Apple tell me it's an iBooks Author issue, but they are on US time and I can't get help. Can anyone help me?

The suggestion to copy photos from your photo library to desktop folder, then drag and drop into iAuthor worked excellently. My photos is not recognized either. I have tried rebooting etc... nothing worked. Using the desktop folder is a simple straight forward workaround.

Try rebooting your Mac and see if that helps

Otherwise try the iBook Author forum and see if anyone there can help - iBooks Author

And as a workaround you can always export to a desktop folder and use from there
