Just purchased 15" MacBook Pro. Didn't realize there isn't a CD or DVD slot. What does everyone else do? Need this capability.

For occasional use, you can buy the Bus-powered Apple DVD "superDrive". It draws MORE than the 500 MilliAmp limit, so it can be cranky. The drive itself is the flimsy (but compact and light) portable type. Choose this solution if portability is key.

You can buy a freestanding third-party DVD enclosure with its own power supply. You can buy it with a more rugged "Desktop" type DVD drive installed, or buy such a drive separately. Choose this solution if long life and few problems and multi-system interoperability are important.
