Can't launch LP9, always freezes during 'searching for AU plugins (AU SpeechSynthesis)'

Just started happening for no reason, had not used LP for a while, haven't updated OS, can't remember if updated Logic before this...

Sometime back I remembered that happening if you used one of the OSX cleaner/optimizers, I forget the name of them... is Onyx one of them.
