Mail App in iPhone Not Letting me Deleting Gmail Account Emails

Hello,

On my iPhone running 8.4 (yesterday's update) I attempted to add my Gmail account to mail. When I tried to delete some emails it would not let me delete the message (the archive button showed up when I swiped right instead of delete which usually shows up). When I select a message my three options are "mark", "move", and "archive". No delete button in sight. Any ideas/suggestions/help?

Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. 🙂
