my phone is frozen and i can't put my password in it ... can i restart it a different way?

Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot.
it turns on but the screen is frozen when i plug it into the computer it tells me to put the password in my phone but the phone is frozen . the touchscreen isn't working
My finger print won't open the screen at all😕
Without plugging it into the computer, if you do the reset I told you, can you swipe to unlock? When you say the screen is frozen, it will not respond to any touch at all?

You do not have to use the fingerprint, but you are saying that you cannot get it to reset, or you cannot type in a passcode or get the screen to react? If you plug into the computer, it should not prompt you for the passcode unless you have never connected to the computer in the past. You should be able to restore the device to your last backup from iTunes.

yes i can't type in the password to open the screen.the message says iTunes couldn't connect to the iPhone of cinderella because it is locked with a password you must enter the password on the phone befor it can be used with iTunes but i can't because the phone is frozen
i wish apple had a 24hr line you could call 😝😉

It can be reset without putting in the password, until you attempt to use it, depending on the version. If you have an iPhone 5s or later and have Touch ID enabled, you have to enter the passcode before you can continue. You can try the steps in this support document about the touchscreen. If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond to touch - Apple Support The last step is to contact Apple Support, or make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store for service.
