clean up software for mac 10.7.5?

I have an older iMac, it has been running slower over time. Is there a cleanup software for my mac using10.7.5? Many of the App Store products won't download saying 10.8 is required. I would appreciate any help you can offer, thanks.

First thing to keep in mind is not to go looking for Clean My Mac, Wash my Mac, Cut the toenails of my Mac. They are all scams.

Download and apply the etrecheck program which may give us a guide to what is slowing down your machine.
