New unknown erase request

I lost my phone yesterday and I set up the 'erase my iphone' around 9:50pm. But today, when I logged into icloud, it says "Erase requested today at 6:54 am". The time is different. What's going on? Did iphone automatically re-erase my iphone or the theft is using the phone?
