12.2 updated, but can't open/read my library files...HELP!

I still use Windows 7 (Toshiba laptop) and have "successfully" upgraded to the 12.2 version, but when I clicked the 'launch after updating' box, the player wouldn't open. I got a message that my library files can't be read because they were from a newer version of the player. Well, I thought I just upgraded to the newest version!

I tried uninstalling all of the components, restarted my laptop and re-installing 12.2, but get the same results.
