ok so i go to the "check for updates" part on the help tab and it pops up the message saying download itunes and when i click it nothing happens. ive turned my computer on and off multiple times and even tried checking the apple software update to try and download and it shows "no new software", any help?

Disable your anti virus software then try again. Security software can prevent apps from updating.
still didnt work, do i need to turn it off then restart my computer?
