The music on my iPhone won't show in iTunes

I recently updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 8.4 and iTunes on Mac OS X Yosemite to 12.2.0.145 and signed up for the free trial of Apple Music. Now when I try to view the music I manually synced to my iPhone will not show even though it says that i have 4.2gb of music on the phone. I'm trying to delete some of it to save space but now I can't. Any ideas?
